Reading by poet & playwright Dan O'Brien

Poet and playwright Dan O'Brien will read from his work Thursday, March 21 at 5:30pm in Scholes Library. O'Brien is the author of four books of poetry, including Our Cancers and Survivor's Notebook. His plays have received numerous awards including the 2018 PEN America Award in Drama, the Horton Foote Prize for Outstanding New American Play. He was a Guggenheim Fellow in Drama in 2015-16. His play Newtown will be performed at the Geva Theatre in Rochester next month.
A reception (with snacks!) will follow the reading, and O'Brien's books will be available for purchase. This event is sponsored by the Division of English and the Jacobson-Grove Fund.
